Scholarship Application

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a Montessori environment. Thanks to the generosity of our community donors, we are able to offer some partial scholarships to support families in need within our school community. The scholarship committee comprising of multiple members will review all applications.

IMPORTANT INFO

  • Application Window: Opens in September and closes February 1, 2026.
  • Required Materials: A completed scholarship application and your 2024/2025 tax return. Please note that applications submitted without tax returns cannot be processed.
  • Important Reminder: Late applications will not be accepted. Applicants will be notified of scholarship decisions on March 1, 2026.

South Carolina Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF)

The South Carolina Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF) is a school choice initiative that provides eligible families with greater educational flexibility. For the 2025–2026 school year, qualifying students can receive a scholarship of up to $7,500 per student. These funds can be used for a variety of approved educational expenses.

Eligibility

  • Students must be enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Families must meet specific income requirements
  • Awards are first-come, first-served. For 2025–2026, the scholarship cap has been reached, and a waitlist is currently in place


Important Dates

  • November 1, 2025: Renewals for current recipients and siblings
  • January 15, 2026: Applications open for priority groups
  • February 9, 2026: General applications open

ESTF is managed by the State of South Carolina, not May River Montessori. Applications must be submitted directly through the state portal.
